This course covers what Lean is and its key terms; the Toyota Production System; the five critical improvement concepts; how to understand, describe, analyze and improve value; how to identify and reduce various types of waste; how to create a plan for a more environmentally Lean organization; how to use models to plan, execute, and evaluate Lean changes; how to use Lean thinking frameworks; how to prepare for and complete a basic 5S process; the key elements of Kaizen events; how to gather, analyze, and interpret data; and how to begin incorporating Lean into corporate culture.

This course will assist with welcoming people with disabilities into workplaces, learning how to Interact with people with disabilities, identify and overcome barriers in the workplace, use respectful, appropriate, acceptable language in any circumstance, understand appropriate interaction during the hiring and interviewing process, and understand what job accommodation is and how it applies in a workplace.
